Accountability Institute assists organizations in mainstreaming gender in a globally accepted approach to achieving gender equality and constitutes an essential part of our work. This involves development of a better organizational culture by identifying the existing work culture (where are we as a team); where do we want to go; how will we get there; and what we must focus on now. We guide the team to focus on cultures exhibited by high performance teams, and agreeing on ways of sustaining the desired culture.

Accountability Institute offers consultancy services on advisory on revenue collection on how to establish or run a efficiently and effectively revenue management facility, for county governments it provides advice on establishing and operationalizing of professionally managed revenue collection agency and departments within the County. These services include collection and billing service, collection enforcement techniques comparable to those used in the business sector and always mindful of the County’s interest in the welfare of its residents, the Revenue Refund Division ensures that, refund of taxes that have been over paid by the taxpayers.

The Revenue Collection Unit provides original billing services for some county departments. Charges assessed are made and billed based on a criteria.

Maintaining accounts receivable and providing accountability for loans administered by the Public Works and Planning Department are other functions performed by the Revenue Collection Unit. These loans are granted to very low-income homeowners for repairs and rehabilitation.

The Revenue Collection Unit’s satellite office, located at sub county offices, allows the County to maximize revenues through immediate contact with individuals. Records, correspondence, and other appropriate legal documents pertaining to cases are maintained and processed by staff.

Collectors obtain financial and credit information to assess ability to pay and are also available to the Courts for financial recommendations.
